The Comedy Crate - 9th november 2017
We had the amazing Stephen Bailey come down and headline our November show, Stephen’s brand of gossipy humour has made him one of Britain’s most sought-after comedians. After an Edinburgh run that saw him get three 5 star reviews, and stints hosting and guesting on ITV’s Weekend with Aled, Stephen returned to the Bradlaugh after a triumphant Edinburgh Preview show for us there at our July festival.
We also had the fantastic Sean McLoughlin who has supported the likes of Ricky Gervais, Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown on tour, and made appearances on Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central and Comedy Central’s Live At The Comedy Store.
Ian Lane opened the show and smashed it. A London-based comic, Ian has reached the final of the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year competition, twice made the semi-finals of the BBC Radio New Comedy Award (as broadcast on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 4).
WE would like to say a huge thanks to screen northants. for all there help filming and editing our comedy nights.
Screen Northants was established to:
- Redress the balance of limited opportunities within the Film Industry, which can be due to socio-economic and geographical factors
- Tackle feelings of disenfranchisement, disengagement and poor social mobility locally, by providing free, professional Film Industry experience
- Create new educational pathways and curriculum enrichment schemes, which develop the next generation of Film Industry professional
- Ensure the talented and passionate are not excluded because they are not financially lucky enough to be able to move to London and offer their time for free
- Develop an internationally-recognised film production studio and make Northamptonshire a legitimate destination for Film and TV Production.
